Ourika Valley
Ourika Valley is located about an hour's drive outside of Marrakech. This excursion provides a perfect opportunity to escape the crowds and noise of the city and relish in the natural beauty of the Atlas Mountains.
You will begin your journey by exploring the traditional Berber village of Setti Fatma which is approximately 45 minutes away. Set in the mountains, the scenery here is awe-inspiring and the sound of the stream flowing through creates a tranquil ambiance.
Next, visit the local market to witness the day-to-day activities of the locals. You will scurry around for modest bargaining to shop everything from souvenirs to spices to Moroccan oils. After the market you will meet your local guide for take a short hike up to the seven waterfalls, the highest giving a mesmerising view at the peak of the cliff.
Furthermore, you'll get to meet a Berber family and learn about their customs and traditions while enjoying a cup of traditional mint tea in their mudbrick home.
After that, have lunch in a restaurant overlooking the verdant terraces and enjoy some local cuisine with amazing views at the background.
Finally, arrive back in Marrakech in the early evening with a feeling of recharged relaxation.
